Villa Bonita | Exquisite 3 bedroom with stunning rainforest views

Villa Bonita is located inside the Río Mar Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The 2nd story villa has striking views of El Yunque National Rainforest, a communal family-friendly pool, and is a short drive to the beach, golf, tennis, and local restaurants. Villa Bonita is within striking distance of some of the best beaches, rainforests, and tours the island has to offer. . This property has a washer and dryer, a great amenity for an extended stay. 

Please note guests are not authorized to use Wyndham Hotel amenities and facilities. 

Nonetheless, guests only have access to the Iguana’s Cocina Puertoriqueña Restaurant, Hotel Casino & Spa with prior reservations. 

LIVING AREAS:

Enter Villa Bonita and you are greeted by the living room with a large L-shaped comfortable sofa and entertainment console with a 70” smart TV.  Its tropical oasis decor along with the banana leaf wall accents set the tone for the perfect tropical stay. Right across the living area is the balcony with stunning views of the El Yunque National Rainforest. The villa has ceiling fans throughout and central AC so you can decide whether you prefer the Caribbean breeze or a cooler air-conditioned atmosphere. The balcony has a four-person outdoor dining table and chair sets ideal for a relaxing morning coffee or conversation with friends overlooking the rainforest.

BEDROOMS:

The master bedroom has one king-size bed, a TV, a lounge chair where you can read a book or relax and have direct access to the balcony. Its green, blue, and coral decor palette makes this room a perfect Caribbean nest. The master bedroom has a spacious private bathroom with a double sink and a large walk-in closet. The 2nd bedroom has a Mediterranean feel to it because of its white and blue fresh decor. It has a king bed, a large closet, and a private bathroom. The 3rd bedroom has a soft green and coral color scheme which gives a spring vibe. It has a king bed and a large closet as well as its own private bathroom. 

KITCHEN:

Villa Bonita has a very large and comfortable open kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, stovetop, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, and toaster. The dining table, which seats six, is conveniently located adjacent to the kitchen so cooking and dining can become one large social event. There is also access to the balcony from the dining area which you can open to allow the fresh tropical breeze in. 

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

There are many things to do in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. Here are our top picks that you will be sure to enjoy during your stay:

1. Explore the lush and exotic El Yunque, the only rainforest under US Flagship. We can help you plan a hike or participate in a zip-line adventure.
2. Experience the glowing waters on a nightly kayak tour in the bioluminescent bay in Fajardo.
3. Taste the local flavors at the staple kiosks in nearby Luquillo – right next to the beach.
4. Go on horseback or a four-track ride off the beaten path in Carabali Rainforest Park.
5. Play a round of golf at the neighboring nearby courses like Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club in Rio Grande or El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo.

GETTING AROUND:

We strongly recommend renting a full-size car as there is a multitude of activities within a 30-minute drive which you will not want to miss out on.

AMENITIES:

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.

HOUSE RULES:

• Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
• Check-out time is at 11:00 am
• NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
• NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
• All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
• Maximum occupancy of 6 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors. 
• Do not hang towels or clothes from the balcony or windows.
• Do not wash white towels with colored beach towels. Any damaged towels will be charged from the security deposit.
• Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
• Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess, stained towels/linens will be charged.
• Subletting not allowed
• The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service.  If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
