Villa Tropica | Contemporary resort villa within Dorado Beach Resort

Villa Tropica is a gorgeous 2 story resort villa located within the exclusive Dorado Beach Resort, home of the Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve. This property has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, central A/C throughout the villa, brand new kitchen, and a grand room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking palm trees. The amenities include 2 golf carts, pool, tennis court, 24-hour security, walking, and bike trails, and beach access. Villa tropica is conveniently located directly beside the Fairways pool and tennis courts. The villa is part of The Fairways community within Dorado Beach Resort.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP – Club Membership may be purchased separately but is subject to availability. If you are interested in the membership, please reach out to us before reserving because it may not be available.

The cost is $350 per person per week plus a refundable $10,000 deposit per family and will be billed separately via credit card. Club Membership provides access to the beach club, gym, golf, tennis club, Spa, and more. Guests that do not purchase the membership will have access to all of the Fairways’ Community amenities and will be able to access the beach with the two golf carts that are included. 

CAMERA DISCLAIMER: Villa Tropica has a camera security system on the exterior of the property. Cameras are constantly monitored in order to ensure the safety and status of the property. 

LIVING AREAS:

Villa Tropica has a large and comfortable living room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the terrace and palm trees, a flat screen TV, and comfortable sofa and seating. There is an 8 person dining table directly besides the kitchen, which offers a center island with stools for three. 

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:

Villa Tropica sleeps up to 6 adults in 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own private bathroom.  The master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV, spacious bathroom with a massive skylight, jacuzzi and shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, dedicated bathroom and closet.  The third bedroom has a queen bed, desiccated bathroom and closet.  

KITCHEN:

The kitchen is fully stocked for an extended stay, with all the cookware you will need, a gourmet espresso machine, and plenty of dinnerware and silverware. 

LOCATION:

Villa Tropica is located inside the Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Resort in Dorado, Puerto Rico. This community and resort are famous for its gorgeous tropical grounds, three beautiful beaches, and world-class golf and tennis. This is a safe and gated community that is great for families looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation in the tropics. Villa Tropica is a 40-minute drive from San Juan and the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport.

Besides enjoying the beautiful villa and all amenities on offer, there are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:

• Explore the local culinary scene with everything from local Puerto Rican food to excellent Italian and Mexican options.
• Road trip to the Cerro Gordo Public Beach or walk down the shore to Dorado Public Beaches. Both of these are long sandy beaches which are well protected from swell and are a 5-minute drive from the villa.
• Explore the Camuy Caves – a huge cave system about an hour drive away that is home to the third-longest underwater river in the world.
• Spend a day in Old San Juan, a 30 min drive away and the oldest city in all of the US.

GETTING AROUND:

Renting a car is a must when staying in Dorado. The property includes parking for up to 2 vehicles. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants, shops, and beaches, as well as to explore the rest of the island. 

AMENITIES:

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay. 

HOUSE RULES: 

• Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
• Check-out time is at 11:00 am
• NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
• NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
• Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep noise levels down during these hours out of respect to the neighbors. This is a family friendly neighborhood, no gatherings or parties will be allowed. 
• The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service.  If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
• All bookings are contingent on signing a short term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
• Maximum occupancy of 6 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors. 
• Max. occupancy is strictly enforced, and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.    
• Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged. 
• Do not hang towels from the balcony or windows. A $100 fine may be applied if you break this rule. 
• Subletting not allowed
